About Me

In the midst of tech week for a production of Les Misérables, my high school theater director announced, “The only thing Joanna cannot do is move a two-ton barricade on her own, and she has tried!” I’ve found myself living by that mantra ever since.

I am a NYC-based Creative Producer hailing from Orange County, CA, and am currently writing my thesis as a third-year MFA student in Columbia University School of the Arts’ Theatre Management & Producing program. I earned a BFA in Drama & minor in Producing from NYU, where I studied with the Atlantic Acting School and NYU’s Commedia dell’Arte program in Florence, Italy. In addition to attending grad school, I most recently served as the Associate General Manager with ENVEEKAY for Love Around the Block, a new, one-night-only immersive musical commissioned for the opening night of the new Hermès flagship store on the Upper East Side.

As a creative producer, I specialize in new work development with a focus on work by and centering stories of women, as well as in facilitating a process that is collaborative, fruitful, ambitious, and healthy. I believe it is vital to provide platforms & resources to early-career artists, especially when so many of us are creating work that is relevant, exciting, & has the potential to change the current artistic & societal landscape.

In my (limited) spare time, you can probably find me treating myself to brunch with friends, cooking, thrift shopping, and/or binge-watching reality TV.
